The ACC released the league’s football schedule for the first three weeks of the season on Thursday, as well as all the Thursday and Friday night games.
We already knew that NC State will play Tennessee at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC in week two. As for the others: NC State’s opener against Western Carolina is a 7 p.m. ET kick on ACC Network, the week three matchup with Louisiana Tech is a nooner on ACC Network, and the Thursday-nighter against Georgia Tech in November is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
That Louisiana Tech game was the most inevitable noon game that ever nooned. Hey, maybe it won’t be appallingly hot in mid-September for once. It’s the offseason, we can be optimistic.
In other news, the first new ACC member to hit the field will be SMU, against the mighty Nevada Wolf Pack on Aug. 24. This is ACC football now, baby! (But go Wolf Pack.)
