NC State announced this week a new pricing model for tickets and parking at Carter-Finley Stadium that is coming in 2025. Season tickets will vary in price based on seating location, and many seats will need a Required Seat Donation, which could tack on up to $250 onto a season ticket.
There will also be some steep new required donations on parking passes, which no doubt will lead to plenty of grumbling.
In an effort to head off some of the grumbling, the school has rather hilariously packaged this in the same marketing-speak you’d get from a major capital campaign. (Which I guess it kinda is.) It’s time to Pack Forward! Excelsior!
The PACK FORWARD campaign takes a fresh, forward-thinking approach to tickets, parking, and annual donations at NC State. Our goal is to bring our pricing and donation models more in line with the rest of our conference and the other Power Conferences. Pack Forward is a necessary step for NC State Athletics to maintain our success in an ever changing landscape. This is a challenge to all of Wolfpack Nation with the goal of moving the Pack Forward.
Never has being charged more for a parking spot sounded so progressive, so bold. Sign me up for the future, baby!
Does the average season ticket holder need all this glossy mumbo-jumbo to help the medicine go down? Maybe it does make a difference in opinion, I dunno. Feels a little overcooked, though.
