RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The NC State women’s basketball team made it all the way to the Final Four last season as the Atlantic Coast Conference’s lone representative. This season, the expectations are equally high, if not higher.
On Tuesday night, the newly-expanded ACC released the full slate of conference schedules for all the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The Wolfpack, who last season finished second in the conference standings to Virginia Tech and were runners-up to Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament, open conference play at Louisville for the Jimmy V Women’s Classic on Dec. 15. Their first ACC contest at home is set for Dec. 29 against Clemson.
In addition to a trip to Louisville, this season NC State will also travel to Syracuse, Florida State Georgia Tech, and nearby Wake Forest as well as to the ACC’s newest schools: SMU, Cal and Stanford.
The schedule has just one game each between the Wolfpack and the two other Triangle teams. On Feb. 3, NC State will host Duke at Reynolds Coliseum, and on Feb. 16 they’ll make the short trip to Chapel Hill.
Some of the Wolfpack’s non-conference games had previously been announced, including a rematch against defending national champions South Carolina — who defeated NC State in last season’s Final Four — in the 2024 Ally Tipoff game in Charlotte on Nov. 10. The Pack will also play in the Pink Flamingo Championship in the Bahamas the week of Thanksgiving before returning to Raleigh to host Ole Miss in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Dec. 5.
Prior to the first game of the season against ETSU on Nov. 5, NC State will play an exhibition game in Raleigh against Anderson.
Here’s the Wolfpack’s full schedule, with home games in bold.
