RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Fresh off a trip to the Final Four, the NC State men’s basketball team is ready to defend their Atlantic Coast Conference tournament title.
On Tuesday night, the newly-expanded ACC released the full slate of conference schedules for all the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The Wolfpack’s ACC schedule begins Dec. 7 when they host Florida State at the newly-renamed Lenovo Center. After a few more non-conference games, they travel to Virginia on Dec. 31 to end the calendar year. NC State’s other away games during the ACC portion of the schedule include a trip to the conference’s new west coast schools, Cal and Stanford, as well as to Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Miami and the other three North Carolina schools.
NC State will visit Durham on Jan. 27 for the first meeting between the two Triangle rivals since the Wolfpack topped the Blue Devils in the Elite Eight of last season’s NCAA Tournament. The following month, NC State will face UNC in Chapel Hill on Feb. 19 in their first rematch since the Wolfpack upset the Tar Heels to win the 2024 ACC Tournament in Washington, D.C. The Pack will play each Triangle rival just once each during this regular season.
The big games on the Wolfpack’s non-conference schedule are a rematch with Purdue — who knocked the Pack out in last season’s Final Four — in the 2024 Rady Children’s Invitational on Nov. 28 as well as a trip to Kansas to face the Jayhawks on Dec. 14. Then on Dec. 4, NC State will host the Texas Longhorns in this year’s SEC/ACC Challenge.
