NC State is off to a good start shoring up its most important contributors for next season with NIL deals. The Wolfpack’s football collective announced this morning that safety Devan Boykin will be back next season, when he should be completely recovered from his knee injury. That’s a huge addition to the back end.
Also announced today: the return of receivers Keenan Jackson and Terrell Anderson, both of whom could be breakout candidates with CJ Bailey back helming the offense. Jonathan Paylor and Hollywood Smothers are official also. There are some offensive linemen to take care of, plus Kendrick Raphael and Justin Joly, hopefully.
In addition to Boykin on the defensive side, we know that Sean Brown, Caden Fordham, Tamarcus Cooley, Brandon Cisse, and Devon Marshall will return as well. State needs to keep Brandon Cleveland in the fold and make a few quality portal additions, but the defense is setting itself up nicely so far.
