This is an outrage!
The offseason struggle is fully upon us now that college sports are finished, though the new college football video game is due in a few weeks to help a bit. EA Sports released the list of its top 25 most difficult places to play yesterday, and Carter-Finley Stadium was noticeably absent. Snubbed, you might even say.
They gargled a few different numbers—attendance, home winning percentage, etc.—to spit this list out, and here’s what the back end looks like:
15. Williams-Brice Stadium – South Carolina
16. Michigan Stadium – Michigan
17. Lane Stadium – Virginia Tech
18. Rice-Eccles Stadium – Utah
19. Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium – Texas
20. Kinnick Stadium – Iowa
21. Notre Dame Stadium – Notre Dame
22. Spartan Stadium – Michigan State
23. Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium – Arkansas
24. Albertsons Stadium – Boise State
25. Davis Wade Stadium – Mississippi State
I don’t know about you, but I’d put Carter-Finley ahead of at least a handful of these stadiums. I feel like I’ve never heard anybody talk about South Carolina, Michigan State, Arkansas, Boise, or Mississippi State as difficult places to play. Also, you’re cheating with those artificial noisemakers, Mississippi State.
