Looks like we’re taking a swing at one more player
According to our pals over at Pack Pride, the staff is taking another run at filling out the ‘24-’25 roster, this time with a high school player.
Bryce Heard , 6’5” shooting guard from Chicago, took an official visit in June and is planning to make his final decision soon. He still has plans to visit USC, Xavier and Miss St so there’s no ink on paper. He was initially in the 2025 class, but is considering reclassifying.
He’s a 4-star, top 100 player on all three major recruiting sites but they are still classifying him in the 2025 recruiting cycle, ESPN ranks him #82, Rivals #93, and 247 has him composit #89.
If he signs, Heard would come in not expecting to see much playing time this season, with Pass, O’Connell, Hill, and Taylor all seniors or grads but could be looking to partner up with Trey Parker in our guard rotation of the future.
When asked about his game:
“I take what the defense gives me. I’m a three-level scorer, I can get to the basket, get to the mid range and shoot the three. I believe in my three-ball and I’m really confident on the court. I try to get rebounds, get back on defense and pickup. I’m a confident player on the court that always tries to bring up my teammates too, be loud and be vocal.”
