
Thursday night college football on ESPN often produces some interesting moments. Tonight’s ECU-Temple game was no exception.
With less than four minutes remaining and Temple in control up 27-10, the stadium lights went out. If that isn’t crazy enough, the blackout happened in the middle of a play.
Check out the video below. You can see the screen go dark right as the tackle happens.
It almost looks like special effects of some sort.
Right now, the game is being delayed and we’re awaiting word as to what the next step is.
Considering the contest is pretty much decided, and its 11 p.m. on a weeknight, we can’t see there being much, if any, delay at all here.
It would be foolish to wait around for a while if they can’t get the lights back in a timely manner.
