DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Duke women’s basketball cruised to a first round NCAA Tournament victory Friday night.
The No. 2 Blue Devils (27-7) defeated No. 15 Lehigh (27-7) by a score of 86-25 in a Birmingham Regional 2 game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Oluchi Okananwa scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds off the bench to lead Duke. Delaney Thomas and Toby Fournier each had 11 points in the blowout.
Ella Stemma led the Mountain Hawks with eight points in the loss.
The Blue Devils move on to face No. 10 Oregon — who earlier Friday outlasted No. 7 Vanderbilt in overtime — on Sunday in Durham.
