DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — It’s been a week since Duke men’s basketball last played, but they’re hoping there won’t be any rust to shake off.
The No. 5 Blue Devils (8-2 overall, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) host the George Mason Patriots (7-3) Tuesday night. Tipoff at Cameron Indoor Stadium is at 7 p.m.
Despite winning their only matchup last week — a home game against Incarnate Word — Duke dropped down one spot in this week’s AP top 25 rankings. In that victory, freshman Khaman Maluach led the Blue Devils with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
George Mason comes to Durham riding a five-game winning streak. Their last loss was also in this state, a 78-77 double overtime loss at East Carolina on Nov. 16.
Duke returns to league play this weekend. The Blue Devils will next head down to Atlanta for a Saturday afternoon matchup at Georgia Tech.
