DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Following freshman Cooper Flagg’s record-setting performance over the weekend, Duke men’s basketball is looking to close out their three-game homestand by preserving their unbeaten record so far at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The No. 3 Blue Devils (14-2 overall, 6-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) host Miami (4-12, 0-5) late Tuesday night. Tipoff in Durham is scheduled for 9 p.m.
Flagg scored 42 points — a record for an ACC freshman — in Duke’s 86-78 win over Notre Dame Saturday. The country’s No. 1 recruit was 11-14 from the field, including 4-6 from behind the three-point line, and also added seven assists and six rebounds. Fellow freshman Khaman Maluach chipped in 19 points.
Miami enters the game on a five-game skid, with their last loss coming against Wake Forest at home by a score of 88-78. Matthew Cleveland led the Hurricanes with 22 points and two blocks in that contest.
Duke heads north for their next contest, a game at Boston College on Saturday night.
