CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WNCN) — After rolling past both Cal and Stanford last week at home, Duke men’s basketball has its first road game since the loss at Clemson just over a week ago.
The No. 3 Blue Devils (22-3 overall, 14-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) play at Virginia (13-12, 6-8) Monday night. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.
Duke’s potent offense exploded against Stanford on Saturday, winning 106-70 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Tyrese Proctor scored 23 against the Cardinal to lead the Blue Devils, while freshmen Cooper Flagg and Khaman Maluach contributed 19 points and 17 points, respectively.
The Cavaliers have been on a roll as of late, winning their last three games, including a win at rival Virginia Tech on Saturday. In the 73-70 win, Isaac McKneely led Virginia with 22 points. Anthony Robison also chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench in the win.
The Blue Devils have several days off as they don’t have a midweek game scheduled. Their next contest is a rare non-conference matchup in February as they’re set to face Illinois at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.
