DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — There are a lot of new faces around the football field at Duke this year, including at the top.
The Blue Devils have a new head coach, Manny Diaz, after Mike Elko was lured back to Texas A&M following the end of the regular season last year. Though Diaz is new to Durham, he’s not new to the Atlantic Coast Conference, as he graduated from Florida State and his last head coaching job was with the Miami Hurricanes from 2019-2021.
Diaz will have a homecoming of sorts this season, as Duke is scheduled to play at Miami in early November. Other away games this season include matchups at Northwestern, NC State, and Wake Forest. Among the teams the Blue Devils will host this season are North Carolina, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.
The new-look Duke opens the season Friday night against Elon at Wallace Wade Stadium. Here’s the Blue Devils’ full season schedule, with times if announced.
