DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A couple days after Duke freshman Kon Knueppel declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, a veteran Blue Devil also announced his intentions to go pro.
Tyrese Proctor, a three-year starter for Jon Scheyer, is skipping his senior season and entering the 2025 NBA Draft, according to a Friday night social media post by Duke men’s basketball.
The 6’6″ guard from Australia averaged 12.4 points per game this past season on 45.2% shooting from the field, including 40.5% from beyond the 3-point arc, in 29.9 minutes per contest. He was also known for his defensive abilities, recording 31 steals on the season.
In his three seasons in Durham, Proctor played in 106 games, starting 97 of them, and averaged 10.8 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. He also accumulated a total of 75 steals across his career.
In another post on social media by Duke men’s basketball featuring a video by Jon Scheyer, the head coach said, “It’s time for him to chase his NBA dream.”
The 2025 NBA Draft will be held on June 25 in New York City.
