The ACC may be expanding in the coming years, but they could also be on the verge of losing one of their top programs in the process.
A new report from The Post and Courier suggested that the Big Ten Conference’s attempts to build a footprint in the southeastern United States could lead to Clemson jumping ship.
But the SEC could also make a move and try to add Clemson (putting the in the same conference as arch-rival South Carolina) in an effort to stave off the Big Ten’s growing strength.
The report comes amid persistent rumors that the Florida State Seminoles are also seeking to leave the ACC. Other schools that could be targeted include Miami and Georgia Tech.

Clemson was a founding member of the ACC back in 1953 but used to be in the Southern Conference with a number of SEC schools including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and others.

There hasn’t been much word on Clemson sincerely looking into moving to another conference, but if the right offer comes along anything is possible.
Will Clemson stay in the ACC for the long term, or will they jump ship like so many others have recently?
