It doesn’t look like Florida State is going to get its way when it comes to leaving the ACC.
Per Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports, the SEC and Big Ten do not have a desire to add Florida State or Clemson at this time.
“Industry sources repeat that there is not much desire by either conference to add the likes Clemson, Florida State, etc. Not that the ACC’s seemingly “ironclad” grant of rights agreement would allow such movement,” Dodd wrote.
This comes after Florida State recently said that it would have to seriously consider leaving the ACC with how realignment continues to turn in college football.
FSU had until the end of Tuesday to notify the ACC that it would be going elsewhere but that deadline came and went without anything happening.
Both schools will stay competing in the ACC for the foreseeable future unless the SEC or Big Ten suddenly become interested in them.
