Former president Donald Trump will be at Williams-Brice Stadium this Saturday to watch one of college football’s best non-conference rivalries.
It was reported on Monday by Matt Dixon of NBC Digital Politics that Trump will attend the Clemson-South Carolina game this weekend.
South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster was asked Tuesday about Trump potentially attending the game.
“I have no details,” McMaster said. “I don’t know. But long ago, Peggy and I issued him a standing invitation to come anytime he wants to, and if he comes, we’ll be with him.”
McMaster said Trump should attend the game regardless because it should be exciting.
“I think it’s such a good game and so exciting,” he added. “I think they all ought to be here.”

Clemson will enter this Saturday with a ton of momentum. Dabo Swinney’s squad is coming off a 31-20 win over North Carolina.
South Carolina is still fighting to be bowl eligible this season. The Gamecocks need a win this weekend in order for that to happen.
