Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis had an up-and-down performance against Clemson today as the Seminoles gutted out a 31-24 overtime win. But Travis took issue with how the Tigers played against them.
Speaking to the media after the win, Travis admonished Clemson for disrespecting his team by playing one-on-one coverage with his top receivers. He said that it felt to him that the Tigers had “no respect for either the receivers or the quarterback.”
“I feel like we were disrespected all day,” Travis said, via On3. “When you play one-on-one against Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman I feel like you have no respect for either the receivers or the quarterback. I missed a lot of throws early on against one-on-ones, and I wish I could go back and complete them, but man we stepped up when we needed too.”
In fairness to Clemson though, the strategy seemed to work out fine. They held Travis to under 57-percent completion and almost won the game before a missed Tigers field goal attempt forced overtime.

But a win is a win and there’s no reason that the Noles won’t remain a top four team heading into Week 4 unless there’s some chaos in the top 10 over the next few hours.
Did Clemson disrespect Florida State today?
