Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney made a bold call during Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech.
Facing 4th & 9 from his own 20-yard line, Swinney elected to try a fake punt but it went terribly wrong. Clemson wasn’t able to pick it up, which gave Georgia Tech excellent field position.
Take a look:
Georgia Tech went on to score on the ensuing drive to take an early 7-0 lead before Clemson would tie the game in the second quarter.
Still, it led to Swinney getting crushed on Twitter for the decision.

It remains to be seen if this play potentially costs Clemson later in the game.
