The 2024 Clemson Tigers will look a little different than the 2023 Clemson Tigers.
On Thursday afternoon head coach Dabo Swinney announced two significant changes to the coaching staff. Swinney announced defensive assistant Lemanski Hall and offensive line coach Thomas Austin won’t return next season.
On Hall, Swinney said:
“Lemanski Hall and I met and had a great conversation about his future and long-term goals both personally and professionally, and after great thought and discussion, we came to a mutual decision for him to seek opportunities to advance his career elsewhere.”
He gave a similar statement about Austin:
“Today, I made the difficult decision to seek new leadership for the offensive line. It is my responsibility as head coach to make difficult decisions that I believe are in the best interest of our football program and the young men that comprise it. After a few days of deep thought and evaluation, I believe this was a change we needed to make.”
Swinney professed his admiration and love for both men and their families for what they’ve given to the Tigers program over the years.
After an 8-4 season, there were bound to be some changes within the coaching staff. Swinney and company will hope to regain their ACC dominance in 2024.
