During the late stages of the Gator Bowl, Clemson running back Will Shipley was carted off the field with a lower body injury.
Shipley got hurt as he was returning a kickoff 60 yards for the Tigers. It appears the injury occurred when his legs slammed into the turf.
After the training staff for Clemson evaluated Shipley’s injury, they put him on the medical cart and escorted him to the locker room.
HUGE run for Will Shipley
Here’s hoping he’s okay 🙏 pic.twitter.com/uyi5XFJZtW

This is just a brutal development for Shipley, who is such an explosive playmaker for Clemson.
Although Clemson’s offense has struggled at times this season, Shipley has been very productive. He came into the Gator Bowl with 798 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 156 carries.
Shipley has also been a weapon in the passing game, hauling in 29 passes for 235 yards and two scores.
We’re hoping Shipley avoided a devastating injury this Friday in the Gator Bowl.
