There’s been a lot of realignment in college football this year.
Oregon and Washington are set to join the Big Ten next year, joining USC and UCLA after both of the latter schools made the same announcement last year.
Stanford, Cal, and SMU are also set to join the ACC after an announcement was made back in September.
Another college that’s been heavily involved in realignment talk is Clemson and even though the school is still in the ACC, that could change at any time.
Even Clemson athletic director Graham Neff confirmed on Tuesday that he has discussions about realignment frequently.
“We talk with everybody internally and externally just to be well positioned and well read,” Neff said, (first transcribed by On3). “There’s just so many moving aspects of collegiate athletics. That active dialogue, internally and externally, remains to be very present. And I think Clemson, not unlike many others, is very connected and very active in those conversations and would expect to be so.”
Clemson could make a move to the Big Ten or SEC in the future considering its success across sports, especially football.
However, until a move is potentially made, the school will continue to compete in the ACC.
