Carter had a great year for the Tigers in 2023, totaling 59 total tackles (35 solo), three sacks, and two passes defended.
That season came after he had a great year in 2022 when he compiled 73 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and eight passes defended.
He was projected to be one of the top linebackers heading into the 2024 NFL Draft before announcing his intention to return. If he’s able to repeat his success from this year, he may shoot up the draft rankings even more for 2025.
Clemson finished the regular season with an 8-4 record and will play in the Gator Bowl against Kentucky on Dec. 29.
