At 4-3 on the season, the Clemson Tigers are out of contention for the ACC title and the College Football Playoff. But while head coach Dabo Swinney likely won’t face too much pressure, his quarterback has officially lost the fanbase.
Quarterback Cade Klubnik has the Tigers down 7-0 to a middling N.C. State team. After going three-and-out on his opening drive, Klubnik threw an interception on the follow-up that resulted in a Wolfpack touchdown.
It’s only the fourth interception that Klubnik has thrown all season. But it’s also worth noting that the Tigers are 1-2 in games where he has thrown one this season. And the only win came against Charleston Southern. He also has seven lost fumbles spread across the season.
Fans on X have made it clear that they want a new face at quarterback sometime in the future – possibly the near-future:
Cade Klubnik is terrible, team hasn’t been great this year but he single handed has cost this team about 2 wins already.

Cade Klubnik is only a sophomore so he’s got at least two years left at the school unless he transfers.
With the way Klubnik is getting roasted by the fans, you have to imagine that Dabo Swinney isn’t too far behind them in deciding it’s time for a change.
Are Klubnik’s days as the Clemson starting quarterback numbered?
