Clemson looks to be set at the quarterback position heading into 2024.
Head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed on Tuesday that he’s not interested in bringing in a quarterback from the transfer portal this offseason.
“We talk about that at every position, but we like the guys we have. And we like who’s coming,” Swinney said, (first transcribed by On3). “So we feel pretty good about the direction that we have there.”
Swinney is confident in Cade Klubnik after he was the starter this past season. In 12 games, he completed 63% of his passes for 2,580 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
Christopher Vizzinia will be Klubnik’s backup and he’ll be followed by Trent Pearman.
Clemson finished the 2023 regular season at 8-4 and will try to win its ninth game overall in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 29 against Kentucky.
Kickoff will be at Noon ET and it’ll be televised by ESPN.
